Description

Rictor is a mutant member of several X-Men affiliated teams, including the New Mutants and X-Force, whose power gives him the ability to generate and manipulate seismic energy. Julio Esteban Richter can cause powerful vibrations in objects and the ground around him, producing effects ranging from tremors to localized earthquakes. He first appeared in X-Factor #17 (1987), created by Louise and Walt Simonson. Growing up with ties to a criminal arms trafficking operation, his powers emerged under traumatic circumstances and he has navigated both heroism and personal struggle across many years in the X-Men universe.
