X-Factor
X-Factor is a Marvel Comics mutant team that debuted in 1986. The original lineup reunited the five founding X-Men, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel, and Iceman, who posed publicly as mutant hunters while secretly protecting young mutants. Later versions reinvented the concept as a government-sponsored mutant unit and, famously, as a noir detective agency called X-Factor Investigations. The title is known for shifting format and tone while staying rooted in mutant affairs.
