Description

The Star-Spangled Kid is a DC Comics superhero identity held by two distinct characters. Sylvester Pemberton, the original, was a patriotic teenage hero who fought alongside his adult partner Stripesy during World War II and later joined the Justice Society of America. The name was subsequently taken by Courtney Whitmore, a teenager who discovered Pemberton's cosmic convertor belt and used it to begin her career as a hero before adopting the name Stargirl.
