Bonvi
Biography
Bonvi, pen name of Franco Bonvicini, was an Italian cartoonist who debuted in 1968 with the anti-war strip Sturmtruppen for the newspaper Paese Sera. The strip grew from four-panel gags into a long-running series and became one of Italy's best-known comics. In 1969 he created the surreal strip Cattivik, a parody of Diabolik, and later collaborated with musician Francesco Guccini on the science fiction series Storie dello spazio profondo. Bonvicini was named Best European Cartoonist in 1973.
