Dik Browne was an American cartoonist who co-created the comic strip Hi and Lois with Mort Walker in 1954 and created Hägar the Horrible in 1973. Both strips were recognized by the National Cartoonists Society, and Browne received Reuben Awards for each. He served as president of the National Cartoonists Society in 1963 and continued drawing until his death in 1989.
