Biography

Daniele Serra is an Italian illustrator and comic book artist. He won the British Fantasy Award for Best Artist three times (2012, 2017, 2021) and was a finalist for the World Fantasy Award in 2021 and 2023. His work spans book covers, interior illustrations, and comic adaptations for authors including Stephen King, Clive Barker, Ramsey Campbell, Joe R. Lansdale, and Joyce Carol Oates.

In comics, Serra has worked with DC Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, Titan Comics, and Sergio Bonelli Editore. He illustrated all three volumes of Stephen King's Tommyknockers for PS Publishing. His visual style relies on watercolors, Indian ink, and charcoal, building contrast between bright colors and darker tones.
