Toru Shinohara
Biography
Japanese manga artist born in 1936 who debuted in 1958 and became known for works featuring strong female protagonists. He is best known for his Sasori series, following a female inmate protagonist, which inspired a film series starring Meiko Kaji beginning in the early 1970s.
