Biography

Mark Crilley (born 1966) is an American cartoonist and illustrator best known for creating the all-ages adventure series Akiko. He developed the character while teaching English in Japan in the early 1990s, and went on to write and draw the four-volume manga-style series Miki Falls for HarperCollins and the supernatural mystery Brody's Ghost for Dark Horse. Crilley is also widely followed for his instructional drawing videos and his Mastering Manga how-to books.
