Joe Musial
Joe Musial (1905-1977) was an American cartoonist on staff at King Features Syndicate from 1932. He assisted Billy DeBeck on Barney Google and drew Popeye topper strips with Bud Sagendorf on Thimble Theatre. From 1956 until his death he was the primary artist on The Katzenjammer Kids. A founding member of the National Cartoonists Society, he testified before a 1954 Senate subcommittee that shaped the Comics Code Authority and later received the NCS T-Square Award.
