In the Nowhere, a mute girl named Hush wakes in a jail cell with no memory of how she arrived. She forms an uneasy alliance with another prisoner named Mono, who seems far more familiar with the dungeon's labyrinthine corridors than she is.

In the Counties, detective Myra Wan finds herself at a breaking point until a chance encounter with idealistic young officer Marion Guy gives her renewed purpose. Together they take on a cold case involving children who have gone missing from the Counties for years without a trace.
