Drawn & Quarterly

Canadian publisher founded in Montreal in 1990 by Chris Oliveros. Began as an anthology magazine inspired by Raw, then grew into one of the most respected literary comics houses in North America. Its catalog covers alternative cartooning, graphic memoir, and translated work from Europe and Japan. Notable creators include Chester Brown, Lynda Barry, Adrian Tomine, Daniel Clowes, Joe Sacco, Seth, Kate Beaton, Guy Delisle, and Shigeru Mizuki. Drawn and Quarterly also publishes English-language editions of Japanese gekiga and manga classics from Yoshihiro Tatsumi and Osamu Tezuka, distributed in North America through Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
