Comico

Comico was an American independent comic book publisher active from 1982 to 1990, founded by Gerry Giovincio and Bill Cucinotta. The company was one of the top independent publishers in the United States during the 1980s.

Original series included Elementals, Grendel, and Mage: The Hero Discovered. The company also published licensed titles like Jonny Quest and Robotech.

Comico declared bankruptcy in 1986 and ceased operations in 1990. Andrew Rev purchased the company and restarted it in 1992 using Bill Willingham's Elementals, though the company has remained largely inactive since the late 1990s.
