The New Gods (2025)

Written by Ram V with art by Evan Cagle, this twelve-issue maxiseries launched as part of DC's All In initiative following the "Absolute Power" event. In the aftermath of Darkseid's death, the reverberations of his passing are felt across the universe, setting forth the soldiers of an intergalactic army and awakening the latent powers of a mysterious child on Earth.

Prophesized by the Source and delivered through its agent Metron, a cosmos-shattering prediction throws both New Genesis and Apokolips into chaos and conflict. On Earth, Scott Free and Big Barda find themselves unaware of the incoming turmoil while consumed with their most daunting task yet: parenthood. As the couple seeks out the mysterious child spoken of in Metron's prophecy, they race against Orion to find him first—uncertain whether this new god will be the universe's savior or the reincarnation of its greatest evil.

The series introduces Olivia "Liv" Free, whose birth ties into a prophecy involving eight gifts from immortals throughout the galaxy. Ram V draws inspiration from Hindu mythology, particularly the story of Kalki and the Chiranjivi, weaving these influences into Jack Kirby's Fourth World mythology while serving as a bridge between the DC Universe and the new Absolute Universe.
