Published in 1994-1995, 'Legion Quest' is a significant story arc in the X-Men series, written by Scott Lobdell and Mark Waid, with art by Ron Garney and Roger Cruz. The story revolves around David Haller, also known as Legion, the son of Professor Charles Xavier. Legion travels back in time with the intention of killing Magneto, believing that this will create a better future for mutants. However, his actions inadvertently lead to the creation of the 'Age of Apocalypse' timeline, a major alternate reality storyline. Key characters involved include Legion, Professor X, Magneto, and the X-Men. The arc is crucial as it sets the stage for the 'Age of Apocalypse' event, which had a significant impact on the X-Men universe. The storyline was well-received for its ambitious plot and its exploration of time travel consequences.
