DESCRIPTION
Published in 1993 by Marvel Comics, 'Infinity Crusade' is a crossover event written by Jim Starlin with art by Ron Lim, Tom Raney, and others. This story arc is the third part of the Infinity Trilogy, following 'Infinity Gauntlet' and 'Infinity War'. The plot centers around the Goddess, an entity created from the good side of Adam Warlock's personality, who seeks to eliminate evil from the universe. She gathers a group of heroes who are susceptible to her influence, including Thor, Hulk, and Captain America, to aid in her quest. However, her methods involve mind control and the potential destruction of free will, leading to a conflict with other heroes like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Wolverine who oppose her plans. The series explores themes of faith, morality, and the nature of good and evil. The event spans six issues of the main 'Infinity Crusade' series and includes numerous tie-ins across various Marvel titles. It had a significant impact on the Marvel Universe by further developing the cosmic mythos and character arcs of Adam Warlock and Thanos. The story was part of Marvel's broader effort in the early 1990s to create large-scale crossover events that involved multiple characters and series.
