Stan Lee
Biography
Stan Lee (1922 to 2018), born Stanley Martin Lieber, was an American comic book writer, editor, and publisher who transformed Marvel Comics into a major force in the industry.
With artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, Lee co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther. His characters were defined by human flaws and real-world struggles rather than simple heroism.
Lee served as Marvel's public face for decades and later founded POW! Entertainment. His co-creations form the foundation of Marvel's presence in film and television.
