Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg) was an American comic book artist, writer, and editor, widely regarded as one of the most influential creators in comic book history. Known as "The King of Comics," Kirby co-created many of Marvel’s most beloved characters alongside Stan Lee and others, shaping the superhero genre into what it is today.

His dynamic art style and explosive visual storytelling set a new standard in comics during the Golden and Silver Ages. Kirby was instrumental in the creation of:

  • The Fantastic Four
  • Thor
  • Captain America
  • The X-Men
  • The Hulk
  • Galactus & Silver Surfer
  • The New Gods (DC Comics)

After his time at Marvel, Kirby moved to DC Comics, where he created the Fourth World saga, including characters like Darkseid, which continue to influence comics and pop culture today.
