Public vs. Private Collection Items

✅ Public vs. Private Collection Items

What it is

On VerseDB, you have the option to make items in your collection visible to others — or keep them private. This is great if you want to share your favorite issues or trades, but still want to keep certain things to yourself.

Where to find it

Go to: https://versedb.com/collection
Click the Edit icon (pencil) next to any issue in your collection. You’ll find the visibility setting under Basic Details.

How to use it

  1. Edit any issue in your collection.
  2. Under the Basic Details section, look for the checkbox:
☑️ Show this item in my public collection
  3. Check it to make the item public, or uncheck it to keep it private.
  4. Click Update Details to save your change.

If it’s checked, other users can see this item when they view your public collection page.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Want to go private with everything? You’ll need to edit each issue individually (bulk editing is coming soon).
  • Public issues can be helpful for trading, showing off rare books, or just letting others browse your favorites.
  • Private items are still fully tracked — they just don’t show up to anyone else but you.
