Learn how to access your subscription dashboard, understand your subscription status, and manage your VerseDB PRO account.


Accessing Your Subscription Dashboard

How to Get There

Method 1: Navigation Menu

  1. Log in to your VerseDB account
  2. Click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Dashboard" from the dropdown menu
  4. Click "Subscription" in the left sidebar navigation

  2. Select "Account Settings"
  3. Navigate to the "Subscription" tab

Understanding Your Subscription Status

Subscription Status Types

Your subscription dashboard displays one of the following statuses:

Active Subscription ✅

  • What it means: Your subscription is currently active and billing normally
  • What you see:
    • Current plan type (Monthly or Yearly)
    • Next billing date and amount
    • Active PRO features badge
    • Payment method on file
  • What you can do: Switch plans, update payment method, or cancel

Canceled Subscription ⏸️

  • What it means: You've canceled but still have access until period ends
  • What you see:
    • "Subscription Canceled" notice
    • Access expiration date (end of current billing period)
    • PRO features still active until expiration
  • What you can do: Resume subscription anytime before expiration

Expired Subscription ❌

  • What it means: Your subscription has ended and PRO features are disabled
  • What you see:
    • "Subscription Expired" message
    • Expired date
    • Invitation to reactivate
  • What you can do: Subscribe again to restore PRO access

Incomplete Payment ⚠️

  • What it means: Your last payment failed and needs attention
  • What you see:
    • "Payment Required" alert
    • Failed payment date
    • Instructions to update payment method
  • What you can do: Update payment method to restore subscription

Viewing Subscription Details

Your subscription dashboard shows:

Current Plan Information

  • Plan type: Monthly ($6/month) or Yearly ($60/year)
  • Subscription start date
  • Next billing date
  • Billing amount

Payment Information

  • Last 4 digits of payment card
  • Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Card expiration date
  • Billing address (if provided)

Subscription History

  • Past invoices and receipts
  • Payment history
  • Plan change history

Active Features

  • List of all PRO features currently enabled
  • Feature activation dates

Viewing Billing History and Invoices

Accessing Your Billing History

  1. Navigate to your Subscription page
  2. Scroll to "Billing History" section
  3. View list of all past charges

Information Displayed

  • Invoice date
  • Amount charged
  • Invoice number
  • Payment status (Paid, Failed, Refunded)
  • Download receipt link

Downloading Invoices

For Individual Invoices

  1. Find the invoice in your billing history
  2. Click "Download PDF" button
  3. Save the PDF receipt to your device

For All Invoices

  1. Email support at [email protected]
  2. Request full billing history
  3. Receive comprehensive invoice report

Invoice Contents

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number (for reference)
  • Billing date
  • Plan type (Monthly or Yearly PRO)
  • Amount charged
  • Payment method (last 4 digits)
  • Billing address
  • Applicable taxes (if any)
  • VerseDB business information

Email Notifications and Receipts

Email Types You'll Receive

Subscription Confirmation

  • Sent when: You first subscribe
  • Contains:
    • Plan type and pricing
    • First billing date
    • Payment method used
    • Features unlocked

Payment Receipt

  • Sent when: Each successful payment
  • Contains:
    • Amount charged
    • Payment date
    • Invoice number
    • Payment method used
    • Next billing date

Upcoming Renewal Reminder

  • Sent when: 3-7 days before renewal
  • Contains:
    • Upcoming charge amount
    • Charge date
    • Current plan details
    • Option to cancel before renewal

Payment Failed Alert

  • Sent when: Payment attempt fails
  • Contains:
    • Reason for failure
    • Instructions to update payment
    • Deadline to resolve issue
    • Link to update payment method

Cancellation Confirmation

  • Sent when: You cancel subscription
  • Contains:
    • Cancellation date
    • Access end date
    • Reactivation instructions

Subscription Expired Notice

  • Sent when: Subscription period ends
  • Contains:
    • Expiration date
    • Features now disabled
    • Resubscribe options

Managing Email Preferences

Currently, subscription-related emails cannot be disabled for security and billing transparency. However, you can:

  1. Go to your Account Settings
  2. Navigate to Email Preferences
  3. Manage other notification types:
    • Pull list notifications
    • Review notifications
    • Marketing emails (can be disabled)

Critical Emails (Cannot Disable)

  • Payment receipts
  • Failed payment alerts
  • Subscription confirmations
  • Cancellation confirmations

Data and Privacy

Your Data When Subscribed

Data We Store

  • Subscription status (active/canceled/expired)
  • Plan type (monthly/yearly)
  • Billing dates and amounts
  • Payment method (last 4 digits only, via Stripe)
  • Invoice history

Data We Don't Store

  • Full credit card numbers
  • CVC/CVV security codes
  • Banking passwords or credentials

Stripe Privacy

  • All payments processed by Stripe
  • Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified
  • Industry-leading security standards
  • Encrypted transmission and storage

Your Data After Cancellation

Preserved Forever

  • User profile and settings
  • All collections (issues, series, titles)
  • Reading history
  • Reviews and ratings
  • Pull lists and wishlists
  • All user-generated content

Removed Immediately

  • Active PRO subscription status
  • Payment method on file (at your request)

How to Delete Payment Method

  1. Go to Subscription page
  2. Click "Remove Payment Method"
  3. Confirm deletion
  4. Payment method removed from Stripe

How to Delete Account Entirely

  • Email [email protected]
  • Request account deletion
  • We'll permanently remove all data per GDPR/privacy laws

Updating Payment Information

Keep your VerseDB PRO subscription active by ensuring your payment details are always up to date. You can easily update your credit or debit card, change your billing address, and verify your new information directly from your Subscription page. VerseDB uses Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor, to handle all transactions securely — meaning your full card data is never stored on our servers. Updates take effect immediately and do not affect your billing date or subscription status. If your card expires, is replaced, or a payment fails, simply update your payment method to prevent interruptions. You can also edit your billing address for accurate invoicing and verification. For extra convenience, Stripe automatically updates cards from most major banks when replacements are issued. Managing your payment information keeps your VerseDB PRO access seamless, secure, and uninterrupted.
