When to Update Your Payment Method
You should update your payment information if:
- ✅ Your credit card is expiring soon
- ✅ Your card was lost or stolen
- ✅ You want to use a different payment method
- ✅ A payment failed due to insufficient funds
- ✅ Your billing address changed
- ✅ You received a new card from your bank
- ✅ You're consolidating cards and closing old ones
Pro Tip: Update your payment method 1-2 months before your card expires to avoid service interruptions.
How to Update Payment Method
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your VerseDB account
- Navigate to your Subscription page
- Find the "Payment Method" section
- Click the "Update Payment Method" button
- Enter your new card information:
- Card number: 16-digit number on front of card
- Expiration date: MM/YY format
- CVC code: 3-4 digit security code on back (or front for Amex)
- Cardholder name: Name as it appears on card
- Billing ZIP code: ZIP code for billing address
- Click "Save Payment Method"
- Wait for verification (usually 1-5 seconds)
- Receive confirmation message on page
- Check email for payment method update confirmation

- Enter payment information on VerseDB

- Redirected back to VerseDB
- Payment processed

- State/Province

- Click "Save Billing Address"

Currently, VerseDB/Stripe allows one payment method per subscription.

- Add new payment method (this replaces the old one)
- Old payment method is automatically removed
- New method is used for all future charges

Can I use a prepaid debit card?
Some prepaid cards work, but many don't support recurring subscriptions. Credit or debit cards from banks are recommended.
Will I be charged immediately after updating?
No, you're only charged on your regular billing date. Updating payment method doesn't trigger a charge.
Can I use someone else's card?
Technically yes, but ensure you have permission. The cardholder may see the charge on their statement.
What if my card doesn't have a CVC code?
Very rare, but contact your bank. All modern cards should have CVC/CVV codes.
Can I pay with PayPal or cryptocurrency?
Not currently supported. We only accept credit/debit cards through Stripe.
