Reading Stats and Series Completion

Your Reading Progress page summarizes your reading activity. Here's how each stat is calculated.

Overall Completion#

The donut chart shows issues you've read ÷ total issues in series you've started. Only series where you've read at least one issue count — unstarted series don't drag down the percentage.

Example

150 issues read across series totaling 600 issues = 25% overall completion.

Per-Series Completion#

Each series shows its own progress bar: issues read in that series divided by the series' total issue count, as a percentage. Reaches 100% when every issue is marked read. Use Hide completed to hide 100% series and focus on in-progress ones.

Note

If new issues are added to a series after you reach 100%, your completion drops below 100% until you mark the new ones as read.

Publisher Breakdown#

The Publishers panel shows your top 5 publishers by issues read — each bar is that publisher's share of your total reading, not its completion within that publisher's catalog.

Example

80 Marvel issues + 40 DC issues out of 200 total = Marvel 40%, DC 20%.

How Reads Are Counted#

Reads are tracked at the issue level. Marking an issue as read creates a timestamped record; marking unread deletes it. There's no re-read counter.

Mobile App Extras#

The VerseDB mobile app has additional reading stats not yet on the web:

  • Reading streaks — consecutive days where you marked at least one issue read
  • Weekly counts — issues read per week over the last 8 weeks
  • Next unread — jump to the next unread issue in a series

Tip

Reading streaks stay active if you read today or yesterday — missing a full day resets.
