Franka is a private investigator and the great heroine of Dutch comics, created by Henk Kuijpers in the mid-1970s. She works out of a fictionalised Amsterdam on cases drawn from art and antiquities, and needs rescuing by nobody. Dutch readers voted her their comics heroine of all time in 2010.
