Dr. Bill Foster is a biochemist who worked as Hank Pym's laboratory assistant and, by refining Pym's growth formula, gained the power to grow to giant size. He first appeared in The Avengers #32 in 1966 and headlined his own 1976 series as Black Goliath, later going by Giant-Man and Goliath.
