One of six sentient robots built by scientist Doc Magnus for DC Comics' Metal Men, Lead first appeared in Showcase #37 in 1962. Made from the element lead, he shields the team from radiation and handles exposed wiring safely. Slower-witted than his teammates, he is the team's workhorse.
