Michael Jon Carter is Booster Gold, a DC Comics superhero created by Dan Jurgens who first appeared in 1986. A disgraced college football star from the 25th century, Carter was banned from the sport for gambling on his own games and later stole advanced technology from a future museum before traveling back in time to the present. His abilities come entirely from stolen future technology, including a powered suit, force field, and flight capability, along with a robot companion named Skeets. Despite his self-promoting celebrity image, Carter is a genuinely capable and courageous hero.
