Comet the Super-Horse is a sapient, superpowered horse and a companion of Supergirl from her classic adventures. His true name is Biron, once a centaur in ancient Greece.
According to his origin, the sorceress Circe meant to restore Biron to human form but instead left him a horse, then granted him lasting powers. Created for DC Comics during the Silver Age, Comet became one of the era's Legion of Super-Pets.
