Supergirl

A DC superhero and the Kryptonian cousin of Superman. Created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino, she debuted in Action Comics #252 in 1959 as a survivor of Argo City who escaped Krypton after the planet's destruction. Kara possesses the same powers as her cousin under a yellow sun, including flight, super-strength, invulnerability, heat vision, and freeze breath. Her stories often turn on the tension of having been older than Clark Kent on Krypton but landing on Earth as a teenager, while also carrying the weight of being the last full living memory of her homeworld. She has anchored multiple solo series, run with the Legion of Super-Heroes, and led teams across DC's Multiverse.
