One of EC Comics' three GhouLunatics, the Vault-Keeper presided over The Vault of Horror. He first appeared in War Against Crime! and stayed on when the title was rebranded in 1950, settling into the role of an irreverent horror host whose groaning puns cut the terror of the stories he told.
