An American highway patrolman on a Harley, written for British readers, Zip Nolan rode the pages of IPC's weekly Lion from 1963. A year in the strip became Spot the Clue with Zip Nolan, planting the evidence in the artwork for the reader to find first. Reg Bunn drew him through the sixties.
