Cookie Bumstead is the daughter of Blondie and Dagwood in Chic Young's newspaper strip Blondie. She arrived in 1941, and readers named her through a mail in contest. She grew from a curly haired little girl into a bubbly teenager, and Marjorie Kent played her in the Blondie films.
