Garth
CharacterDescription
Garth is a British newspaper comics hero who appeared in the Daily Mirror from 1943 to 1997, making it one of the longest-running single-character adventure strips in the world. Created by Steve Dowling and Gordon Boshell, he is a man of near-superhuman strength who washed ashore in Shetland with no memories of his origins. His adventures span historical eras, mythological realms, and science fiction, guided by his mentor Professor Jules Lumiere. His true love is the ancient goddess-like figure Astra.
