Phil Corrigan is a federal secret agent under the code name X-9. Created by Dashiell Hammett and artist Alex Raymond for King Features Syndicate, the strip debuted in January 1934 as one of the earliest spy-themed American newspaper comics. Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson ran it from 1967 to 1980.
