Guido Crepax
Biography
Italian comics artist who lived from 1933 to 2003 and trained as an architect before turning to illustration and comics. He created the character Valentina in 1965, a photographer whose stories in the Italian magazine Linus became noted for their sophisticated linework, dreamlike page layouts, and erotic content. The Valentina series ran for thirty years and made Crepax one of the most recognized artists in European comics.
