Kōji Kumeta
Biography
Japanese mangaka born in Yokohama in 1967, best known for Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei, a dark comedy serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2005 to 2012. The series won the 31st Kodansha Manga Award and received an anime adaptation in 2007. Earlier works include Katteni Kaizo and Go!! Southern Ice Hockey Club, both in Weekly Shonen Sunday before Kumeta transferred to Kodansha.
