Japanese manga artist born in 1934, one half of the creative duo Fujiko Fujio alongside Hiroshi Fujimoto. Working under that shared pen name, the pair created beloved children's series from the 1950s onward, including Doraemon, Ninja Hattori-kun, and Obake no Q-Taro. After the partnership ended in 1987, Abiko continued under the pen name Fujiko A. Fujio with a focus on adult manga. He died in 2022.
