Scott Adams was an American cartoonist who created the Dilbert comic strip in 1989. Drawing on his own experience working in corporate environments, Dilbert became one of the most widely syndicated strips worldwide and earned Adams the National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award in 1997. He later worked as a public commentator and author. He died in January 2026 following a diagnosis of prostate cancer.
