Shinichi Ishizuka is a Japanese manga artist and writer best known for the jazz-themed series Blue Giant, serialized in Big Comic since 2013 and winner of the Shogakukan Manga Award and the Japan Media Arts Festival grand prize. He also created the mountain-climbing manga Gaku, which won the first Manga Taisho in 2008. He studied in the United States, where he was introduced to both rock climbing and jazz.
