Japanese manga artist best known for Nanto Magoroku, a baseball manga serialized in Monthly Shōnen Magazine from 1981 to 2014 in a run spanning 33 years. His other works include the sumo manga Ah! Harima-Nada, which inspired an anime adaptation in 1992, and Okashina Futari, which won the Kodansha Manga Award in 1985.
