Jim Lee is a Korean-American comic book artist, writer, and publisher known for his dynamic art style combining detailed anatomy, cinematic layouts, and kinetic energy.
Lee gained fame at Marvel with X-Men #1 (1991), which remains the best-selling single-issue comic. In 1992, he co-founded Image Comics and launched WildStorm Productions, home to WildC.A.T.s and Stormwatch.
WildStorm was acquired by DC Comics in 1998, where Lee became a key creative force. His DC work includes Batman: Hush with Jeph Loeb, Superman: For Tomorrow with Brian Azzarello, and Justice League: Origin for the New 52 relaunch. Lee currently serves as President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics.
