Tarō Minamoto (1947–2021) was a Japanese manga artist born in Kyoto. He debuted in 1967 in Bessatsu Ribon and became known for historical comedy, most notably the long-running series Funjitachi, which earned the Special Award at the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2004. He also created a manga adaptation of Les Misérables. He died of heart failure in August 2021 at the age of 74.
