Chris Claremont is a British-born American writer whose sixteen-year Uncanny X-Men run, from 1975 to 1991, turned a canceled title into one of Marvel's biggest franchises. He wrote The Dark Phoenix Saga and co-created Rogue, Gambit and Mystique.
