Buichi Terasawa
Biography
Buichi Terasawa was a Japanese manga artist born in Hokkaido who moved to Tokyo in 1976 to study under Osamu Tezuka. He created Cobra, a science fiction series serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1978 to 1984 and adapted into a television anime and film, and later launched Goku: Midnight Eye in 1987, which inspired two OVAs. In the 1980s he pioneered computer-assisted manga with Takeru, an early comic series made using computer graphics. He died on September 8, 2023, at age 68.
