Joe Gill was an American comic book writer who spent most of his career as the primary staff writer at Charlton Comics, beginning in the early 1950s. Known for extraordinary productivity, Gill reportedly wrote as many as 100 to 125 pages per week across genres including science fiction, crime, war, and romance. At Charlton he co-created the superheroes Captain Atom, Peacemaker, and Judomaster. Comics historians consider him one of the most prolific writers in the medium.
