Look up what comics are worth, what they've sold for recently, and whether prices are trending up or down.
Looking Up Prices#
- "What's Amazing Spider-Man #300 worth?"
- "Show me market prices for Incredible Hulk #181"
- "How much is a 9.8 copy of New Mutants #98?"
Understanding the Results#
Market price lookups return several data points:
Fair Market Value (FMV). The estimated current market value for an issue at each grade level (e.g., 9.8, 9.6, 9.4, and so on). This is what you'd reasonably expect to pay or receive.
Recent Sales. Verified sales from the market with dates, grades, and sale prices. These are real transactions, not asking prices.
Price Trends. Whether the value is rising, falling, or stable over recent months.
Confidence Level. How reliable the price data is, based on the number of recent sales. More sales data means higher confidence.
Market prices vary based on condition and grade. A 9.8 CGC-graded copy will be worth significantly more than an ungraded copy in good condition. The price lookup shows values across multiple grade levels so you can compare.
Combining with Your Collection#
You can ask your AI assistant to cross-reference market data with what you own.
- "What are my most valuable comics?"
- "Analyze my collection's total value"
- "How much has my X-Men collection appreciated?"
Use the Collection Analysis prompt with the "value assessment" focus to get a comprehensive breakdown of your collection's market value.
