The X-Virus surfaces as a threat capable of mutating all of humanity, pulling the X-Men and Fantastic Four into a confrontation with far-reaching stakes. The event unfolds against fractured mutant alliances, with each faction committed to a different vision for the future of mutantkind.

Cyclops and the Chairman both carry direct knowledge of the Age of Revelation, but they return from that future with opposing conclusions. The X-Men are determined to prevent that timeline from taking hold, while 3K moves to make it reality.
