Set during an alien occupation of seaside England in the 1930s, Wild's End: First Light #1 introduces a tight-knit ensemble of anthropomorphic townsfolk who must confront an otherworldly invasion. The issue follows a group of travelers returning from a voyage at sea to a town now overrun by alien invaders, establishing character dynamics (Clive the dog, Gilbert the rabbit, Peter the mink, Faukes the fox) and hinting at deeper mysteries surrounding the invaders.
