Description

First Comics was an American comic book publisher active from 1983 to 1991, then revived from 2011 onward (stylized as 1First Comics). The company is known for titles like American Flagg!, Grimjack, Nexus, Badger, Dreadstar, and Jon Sable.

Along with Pacific Comics and Eclipse Comics, First took early advantage of the direct market. The company attracted writers and artists from DC and Marvel to produce creator-owned titles that were not subject to the Comics Code and could feature more mature content.
