Independent publisher founded in 2014, based in Miami. Builds creator-owned series across horror, science fiction, crime, action-adventure, and fantasy. Original titles include Battlecats, Honor and Curse, Pantomime, and Hellfighter Quin. The company expanded with the Maverick young adult imprint in 2021, then acquired the kids graphic novel publisher Papercutz in 2022, adding licensed properties such as the Smurfs, Asterix, and Geronimo Stilton to its catalog. Mad Cave operates additional imprints including Tinto Press and the youth-focused lines under Papercutz.
