The company expanded with the Maverick young adult imprint in 2021, then acquired the kids graphic novel publisher Papercutz in 2022, adding licensed properties such as the Smurfs, Asterix, and Geronimo Stilton to its catalog. Mad Cave operates additional imprints including Tinto Press and the youth-focused lines under Papercutz.
