Absolute Green Lantern (2025)

Absolute Green Lantern is part of DC's Absolute Universe imprint, written by Al Ewing with art by Jahnoy Lindsay. The series reimagines the Green Lantern mythology through a cosmic horror lens.

In the small Nevada town of Evergreen, a massive green energy dome falls from the sky, trapping residents inside. Among them are ordinary citizens Jo Mullein, Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner. The alien entity Abin Sur arrives to judge the town's population, setting off a chain of events that transforms Jo and Hal in very different ways.

The series replaces the traditional emotional spectrum with a system based on steps toward enlightenment. Jo Mullein is the primary protagonist, while Hal Jordan's corruption by the Black Hand drives much of the horror elements.
