Archie Comics

Archie Comics is an American publisher known for humor-driven comics about teenage life in the fictional town of Riverdale. The company has been publishing since 1939, making it one of the longest-running comic publishers in the U.S.

The core cast of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and Jughead Jones have remained pop culture staples for decades. Beyond the flagship title, Archie publishes Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats, and various digest formats found in grocery store checkout lines for generations.

Key creators include Bob Montana (original Archie artist), Dan DeCarlo (Betty and Veronica, Josie), and more recently Mark Waid and Fiona Staples on the 2015 reboot. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa brought a horror sensibility with Afterlife with Archie and created the CW's Riverdale series.
